Letter from the Editors
As this issue of the Visual Resources Association Bulletin (VRAB) is the first since the transition of Production Editors, I would like to begin with a heartfelt thanks to Amy Lazet for her years of service and enthusiasm for broadening access to VRAB. From 2019-2024, she maintained a rigorous publication schedule while pursuing the goal of full access. Lazet experimented with different approaches to accessibility, incorporating best practices into the workflows and planning, and made a large dent in the remediation and uploading of articles from the archive. I applaud her accomplishments and recognize the wonderful legacy of her hard work. I extend a warm welcome to Otto Luna as the new Production Editor and am excited to see the passions and skills he will bring to the next phase of VRAB.
Moving forward, the editors see promising signs for the future of VRAB through increased participation by the VRA membership. We acknowledge the Equitable Action Committee for suggesting our interviewees, Kieran and Amber, members of the Queer Liberation Library steering committee.
Allan Kohl has our gratitude for continuing his series on the history of the VRA with an article documenting the annual conference. Notably this issue sees an upswing in content coming from our conferences, with three of the Features articles stemming from presentations or posters at the 2023 and 2024 conferences. We hope all members will feel empowered to participate in VRAB. Contact the editors at vrab@vraweb.org to discuss your ideas or volunteer to be a peer reviewer.
