About This Journal
The VRA Bulletin is the journal of the Visual Resources Association, an international association of image media professionals. The mission of the VRA Bulletin is to serve the membership of the VRA by providing a professional forum for the discussion and dissemination of ideas and information directly related to the field of visual resources and image management.
The VRA Bulletin is published two times a year. Volume 1 of the VRA Bulletin was printed in 1974, and volume 37, the last formal printed edition, was in 2010. The electronic version starts in 2011 with volume 38, issue 1, published by the Berkeley Electronic Press. The transition from a print to an electronic journal allows authors and editors to interact directly with one another using an online publishing system providing open access, optimized search and discovery, and global dissemination. The VRA Bulletin is currently transitioning to an open access model that will allow anyone to access articles as soon as they are published. Individual articles are downloadable PDF files with stable URLs that can be saved, bookmarked, e-mailed, or otherwise disseminated.
